Dynastar claims the new Course is " The absolute weapon for all
skiers looking for performance and perfection when carving fast, wide
turns on hardpack" In this tester's opinion, Dynastar is right on
target. I've skied this in two lengths and love them both, (172 and
178) while respecting their differences.

Sidecut : 112-67-98 Ski-Review's verdict: Every
year there is one ski that stands above the rest. The new Course 67 is
some of the most fun on any ski EVER. The Autodrive Flex plate from
Dynastar's World Cup skis, delivers excellent power transmission and
feedback, making the Course 67 seem to ask for more from the skier. The
17 meter radius (at 178cm) while not legal for FIS candidates, is
perfect for All Mountain cruising at blistering speeds but doesn't
restrict the skis ability to make some pretty nice shorter arcs. This
ski was also the first chance I had to ski Look/Rossi's new PX
replacement for the venerable Turntable. Still the most elastic travel
of any heel, and the heel is held down more than pushed forward. Gone
is the "rotates under the axis of the tibia" feature, but the heel
still allows the the boot toe toe exit the same way and they feel fine.
More boot heels will enter the new heel design without
friction, now that the boot does not have to "fit" between the arms of
the old heel.
If there is a better ski out there, this tester
has not found it. But before you jump on them, consider that mistakes
will not be tolerated and good technique is a prerequisite. A best pick for sure - *****

Better than Rossignol?

I'm thinking of either buying the Dynastar 67's or the newer Rossignol R11 Mutix Radical. I've skied both but in different conditons. I'm thinking of the Rossignol but am I making a big mistake!? Any views would be welcomed. Thanks. | Written by Ski Review Guest on 2008-01-10 08:52:25

These are amazing - good on all terrain, turn on a dime, and easy riding full throttle. This is my 3rd Dynastar of various vintages (others were Omeglass, Course), and are by far the best. |
