First impressions: “PHATT”

As long as you have enough snow the Intuitiv Big’s are just about what makes a power day like the best day of your life.  The over size width of this ski alongside the bow/hull like tip and the 33mm raised tail allows the ski to float through the power with ease. They rise up like snowboards which gave me the feeling of walking on the snow, which makes those rare powder days even more rewarding.

Model: Dynastar Intuitiv Big
Size(cm) / Radius(m): 158/21 168/24 178/25 188/27
Sidecut: 117-89-110

Manufacturer's Description:

"For excellent skiers who love powder, freedom and big mountains.  The perfect ski to accompany them in their quest for adventure."

Ski-Review's Verdict:

Due to the size and design the Intuitiv Big does not only excel in powder but they are good in slush and choppy pistes. The Intuitiv Bigs are also incredibly popular amongst telemarkers due to their versatility.

Incredibly wide in the tip and tail, a side cut of 117 89 110 makes them a very fat ski, and a hand full.  The Intuitiv even holds its edges on hard pack when venturing back to resort.  I could have done with a slightly bigger footprint to get the most out of these but ease of turning in the float still excels.

Conclusion?

When in the right hands a worth while investment for them powder days.  Lugging these around (they are phenomenally heavy) is more than worth it.  Intuitiv Big is almost always better.
