Atomic Izor 7:5's Written by chack01 on 2007-01-18 12:25:05
Does anybody ski with these skis, and do you like them? Are they good for a strong intermediate skier or should a strong intermediate go with the Izor 9:7's? |

I demoed these skis at Okemo last winter, and just bought a new pair this season for only $300 w/bindings. Due to horrible conditions I haven't had a chance to use them yet. The ski shop guy recommended the 7:5 for any intermediate to advanced intermediate. The 9:7 is an expert ski. Remember Its easier for an expert skier to ski an advanced ski than an advanced skier to use an expert ski. |

I'm a strong intermediate skier and i just bought a new pair of these skis. I have only had the chance to use them once, but they responded very well and kept control down all of the slopes. |
7:5 vs. 9:7's Written by Ski Review Guest on 2007-02-06 21:01:15
I have never skied the 7.5's, I own a pair of 9.7's. I can say that I am an advanced skier and borderline expert, but these skis are by no means for experts only. They are without a doubt as responsive as I would ever need them to be, but are also easy to ski on. They are by no means are beyond the control ability of an advanced skier. To tell you the truth, if you're looking to jump to the next level, this is the 9:7 is the exact ski to do it on. Extremely fun! |

Have had them for a year now and I am very happy. They carve nicely and are plenty fast for me. They had no problem on double black diamonds at Sunday River, Me, and because they are so light they work very well in moguls. One thing that has amazed me is that they grip on bulletproof ice, no slippage at all. I tried a pair of Metron M10's recentlyand although they were more stable at speed they felt heavy in the short turns and moguls in comparison to the Izors. The only complaint I have is the lack of tip protectors. My tips are getting a bit ratty from my less than stellar mogul runs. The majority of my skiing is on East Coast hard pack/ice |

Picked up the 7.5's for less than $300 on eBay over the summer. Late June or July seems to be the sweet spot as far as price. First time out this year and I was already doing the double diamonds that I usually save for later in the year. These skis just "felt right" from the very 1st run. Very little effort needed to turn and they are light, so they are easily skied all day. Highly recommended for advanced intermediate skiers. |
