The Metron 7 are not stiff and are wide enough for powder. They perform the best on groomers though. Atomic Metron 7 gear review by Brian |
Good ski for a beginner-intermediate Written by Ski Review Guest on 2006-12-22 17:17:41
I found this ski to be too soft and not solid enough when I pushed it. Mind you it is not really built for me, more for a beginner-intermediate. It sure can carve though. Good skier -> Get the Metron 9 or 10 or B5 Intermediate Skier -> Give it a try |
Metron 7 @ approx 165 cm Written by Ski Review Guest on 2007-02-18 02:17:59
Tried these skis as well as the Z3, AMC 73 and X-Wing 10s. All in the 165 cm length range. Ski conditions were variable, powder, crud and ice in the wind blown areas. The skis were surprisingly good - fairly manoverable and had the best edge grip of the 4 skis on the ice. Rating 1st of the 4 skis tried - just slightly ahead of the XW 10. I was surprised at the performance as these were not recommended - too bad the colors are so mellow. Want to compare these to the Metron 9 though - I am looking for the most all round performance without that unforgiving edge grip of the race type ski - something that can be skied all day - even when you get tried. |

I am a 230 lb intermediate. Anybody my size try the Metron 7 in these lengths? |

Need help, I can decide on a hardly used pair of '05/'06 Metron 9 for $150 or a new pair of last years Metron 7 for $300. Teenage Intermediate Skier |
