Surprisingly quick for a ski with this waist size. A real expert All Mountain ski for skilled Women skiers that like to feel some adrenalin effect.  Did I mention stable? Very VERY stable.

Dynastar Exclusive Legend

Model: Dynastar Exclusive Legend (2007)
Size(cm) / Radius(m): 152/12 158/13 165/15 172/16
Sidecut: 114-75-102

Manufacturer's Description of the Dynastar Exclusive Legend:

"For the experienced woman skier who likes to ski off-piste when conditions are good. She needs a ski that’s stable and effective on all kinds of snow and terrain."

Ski-Review's Verdict:

Women are not small men and we want you to know that reviews and comments regarding Women's equipment are quotes from Women who actually tested the skis (unless noted as in the last comment listed below, where the ski was tested by a 200lb male skier, curious to see what was available in the latest crop of Ladies equipment) Enough about that. Here's my wife's review.

My 100lb frame had NO problem getting this ski to perform, although Women of average weight will find it easier than it was for me to crank out some short turns. That is not to say that I didn't love the new Legend. I love the way it charges through anything and holds its line. Just remember that if you're a lightweight, you will find medium to longer radius turns are your default turn shape on this one. AND you'll most likely be skiing  t faster and more aggressively than your last skis would allow. Can you say "time for that helmet?"

 Comments from our other testers:

  • The perfect ski for the GOOD skier who skis Eastern hard-pack and Western powder and likes to push the envelope a bit.
  • All Mountain performance, with high speed capabilities not usually found in ANY Women’s equipment. Take them anywhere, East or West, trees, bumps, crud, chutes and groomers. This is one sweet ride.
  • Make NO mistake, this ski is the real deal. The 165 was more impressive than some more expensive “guy skis” (tested by two 200 lb men, after they remounted the bindings, and skied pretty hard).

These skis carve the hardpack like no other and rip the powder decently too. They're perfect for an aggressive girl skier who likes skiing everywhere. They have a heel lift. They can carve hard snow and are light but still strong. Very agile too.

I'm sold

I demoed these skis at Alta and loved them, skied (or rather wrestled with, in comparison) my old Dynastar SkiCross 66's the next day at Snowbird, and then returned to Alta that evening to buy the Exclusive Legend. I used to be skeptical about women's skis, but I finally realized that using a ski built for a 200 lb person is too much work to get energy out of it. I was skeptical about the width because I like my skis to be able to turn fast, but this ski surprised me with its quickness. Although it is light, it plows right through crud. It skis moguls well, does fine on groomers, and can be skied easy or hard. FUN! I am an aggressive skier who used to patrol in Tahoe and weighs 135 lb. I bought the 158 cm length and am now skiing with less effort and more ripping!!!

wow

These skis are amazing! Not only are they snappy on bumps, but they are super stable. I am sold!!!

Even though my legs were fatigued from weight lifting and sking the day before, I felt super stable going through cut up powder in these skis. I went fast and even did not see the terrain so well in the flat light and yet trusted these skis. Not clunky but smooth, very smooth. I am 165 and strong but cannot muscle a man's ski so well. These seemed perfect.

Demoed these ski's

I did a demo of these ski's and felt exactly like the reviewer. I also weigh about 110 lbs and felt like these would not turn soon enough in tight places or to slow me down. ended up hating them by the end of the day.

yeah!

finally a ski built for smaller women! I am 120 pounds and always have a hard time throwing guy skis around. This ski is great in the trees and on groomers. Go Dynastar!!!

Also Demoed these

I demoed these and had a great time. I did groomers, steeps with and without bumps and a tree run. They were so fun on all of this terrain. I plan to buy them.
