softer than some

A really fun ski. Its softness makes it forgiving in tight chutes and steeps but somewhat less powerful in the open runs and bowls than a stiffer ski. Edge to edge response and hardpack performance is typical for its width. |
not for packed snow

Using it for second season. Excellent in all powder and soft snow conditions, even at groomed snow but very demanding when I hit some "sun-baked snow". |
Good all-round

Used it a few times now. Very pleased with the handling, it has the special elan rebound. It needs a lot of effort but gives back more joy.
In hip deep pow I wanted I had a wider ski, but on the slopes and in knee deep pow a very good ski.

I skied on the m777 about 50 days during the 07/08
season in fernie, CA and in Lac de tignes, FR.
Iīm perfectly happy with it, it handles well in powder and on the slopes, a very good all round ski, many people donīt realise that Elan makes such enormous skis! |
