Manufacturer's Description of the K2 Apache Chief:

"The Chief is built primarily for powder and softer snow conditions in the backcountry. However, maximum surface area for flotation and a moderate side cut makes the Chief more versatile than it may appear. 98mm underfoot combined with a light weight wood core gives the Chief an exceptionally easy swing weight making it simple to navigate in heavier snow conditions."

Great ski I guide on these. And they are stable at speed, good short and long radius turns. Not to mention durable. Mine have seen 160 days and still very lively. www.stellarheliskiing.com

Great Powder Ski

Used these babies in Niseko and Furano. Tried a few other Powder Ski's and the group I skiied with were all unanimous, these were best by a mile.
Look out though on-piste, they aren't too flash, but in the tree's and in the back country they rock!
