Model: K2 AK Enemy (2007)
Size(cm) / Radius(m): 179/? 189/27
Sidecut: 137-108-127

Manufacturer's Description of the K2 AK Enemy:

"A ski built to attack the deepest conditions the backcountry has to offer but still versatile enough to ski the entire mountain. The widest twin tip ski in the factory series is built with a tough sandwich construction, ABS sidewall, thicker steel edges and studded rivets allowing you to crank up the din and withstand the biggest impacts either forward or switch. Any way you look at it, the AK Enemy is a masterpiece broken down into the rawest form."

They changed the name of this ski from Made'N AK to the AK Enemy, but other than that, not much else. It's back again with a wide waist and soft flex. It's good for jumping in the BC and ripping up the powder.

Pretty much the same as last year but with a different name and graphics. This ski is made for powder and is 108 at the waist making it the widest ski by K2 except the pontoon. Has thicker edges this year and has tip and tail rivets. Overall pretty solid powder/all mountain ski.

I'm 15 years old and I got the Maden AK's last season and they can go pretty much anywhere on the mountain as long as your hauling a**. There are a big heavy ski but you get used to them after a while. Very nice powder ride.

Question
Written by Ski Review Guest on 2007-02-20 07:09:49

I am an advanced piste skier, but want a pair of twin tips. I want speed, lack of rattling, etc. Park is the least of my worries. Although I plan on attempting park more often, moguls, tree-skiing, and pow are my favorite (15% park, 85% piste). Any suggestions on the ideal twin tip for non-park (I know that's why they were intended but I think they're cool). Thanks.

People Seem To Think This Ski is Heavy. Really it's Not. I got some head mojo 80's and they are heavier than this. this ski is perfect for park, pow, hucks, etc. Whatever your fantasy is on the mountain this ski will fulfill it.

The AK is pretty much a noodle if you plan to boot it on groomers and you weigh more than about 150lbs.
The Seth is a much stiffer construction, so not as smooth a pow ride (however still capable) but a more solid all mountain ski. However they will both pretty much suck over bumps (way too slow from edge to edge).
In conclusion, there is no such thing as an all mountain ski.
Happy choosing.

Perfect one

This ski has to be your choice of life otherwise they will kill you. But if you love them they will pay back. Super for every kind of freeriding and you can go super fast, or you have to go super fast or they will not turn.

The Best Ski Made

In my opinion, this is the best ski I have ever ridden. I'm 6'0 and 188lbs, Pow, crud, slush, anything you want with the exception of bumps, I wouldnt want to be on any other ski. Very stable at high speed, very forgiving on big drops, amazing in the trees....I dont want everyone on my boards, but if you are a backcountry and tree skier, I would highly reccomend the Made'N.
