Manufacturer's Description of the Armada ARV:

"All over the mountain, the ARV provides skiers with the ultimate in versatility. By feathering the series with top-shelf materials and implementing a wide platform, the ARV is suitable for the deepest powder skiing while being nimble enough to attack any condition or terrain a mountain has to offer. This unique combination is achieved by creating a sidecut profile that allows the ski to be an excellent carver, the use of our 2.5 edge technology to further increase durability and Armada’s own AR2 wood core and sidewalls to make the ski unquestionably light. If one had to choose a single ski to excel top to bottom at any mountain the ARV series delivers with top tier functionality and performance."

More of an all mountain ski/powder ski than Armada's AR6, it is a bit fatter underfoot 89-95.
It's good all over in all conditions and rips all over. Definately one of the better skis this year with Armadas sweet graphics. Excels from top to bottom and Armada is a trusted brand.

This ski excels in powder. It is the same ski as last year with the exception of the graphics. People like it in the park because of the soft flex and they think that it is a very fun ski to ski. I like last years graphics better.

I have placed the bindings in the middle (newschool). Good for switch landing, but for good carving you need to lean back. Enjoy the ARV's! Tjalling Bijma, the Netherlands.

Bought the 175 (on sale) for the 07-08 season. I don't really do the park, but saleman convinced me I would love the ski in powder and in all other conditons. He was right. I couldn't get off this ski all year and it is the best all-round ski I have ever owned. I've been skiing for almost 50 years (age 54). I'm 6'0" and 185lbs. Buyem.

you want the 175 length... although you could get away with a 185 if you wanted. i'd recommend a 180 for you... but then you'd be looking at different skis. remember that the length is the actual material length, so a 175 only stands 172 high.

i bought a set of 175s for myself yesterday. super pumped!!!!
