B1's are versatile Written by Ski Review Guest on 2007-03-02 12:45:17
I have skied 45 years in a row and bought some B1's after trying a few skis last winter. They straddle the fence between a traditional ski and a more single purpose carving ski. Great on ice, easy turn initiation, great in the bumps. If you want to carve they will, but if you want to ski it in a more spontaneous manner they will accomodate. You can find great deals on these too. Paid $183 on Ebay last spring. Pick up a pair if you like to have a few different types of skis. I am 5'10 180 lbs on 174's. |
B1 is a nice ski Written by Ski Review Guest on 2008-01-17 17:45:11
The B1 is not an "all mountain" ski. It's a bit narrow for that title. None-the-less, I really like this ski. I spend most of my time in the groomed "blue". They are great at carving turns. Very stable ride. They are a bit heavier than my other skis. As was previously noted, with prices so low, they are a great bargain. $300 for a set of new 160's including new Axial 120 bindings. |
