This ski is $100 less than the BC WRS but the saving isn't worth it unless you are lightweight and less aggressive. Still a good ski but skinnier than BC WRS and not as versatile. Rossignol Scratch Sprayer BC gear review by “xcjamie” |

i got these last season and had no problems with them. they worked great in the park and liked the groomed runs to. the did have a tendency to sink and were a little hard to turn in the really deep stuff. all in all a great ski for those on a budget. |
!2006! Sprayer BC Written by Ski Review Guest on 2007-12-19 20:53:58
I skied the 2006 sprayer bcs, the same as the 2007s (or so I hear). They sunk a little much in powder, and that hurt how quickly they turn in the trees. On crud or open runs with powder, they can maintain a pretty high speed without much difficulty. They stink switch, probably because I ride the Addicts (which are the illest skis for skiing switch). All in all, I wasn't really impressed. They seem better for the less aggressive skier or the beginner who wants to explore in the backcountry. I am 165 lbs 5'8" and they didn't really hold up as well as I needed, felt like they were holding me back a little. Very soft and flexible. Decent edge hold for what you get out of a soft ski. The tips and tails need to be bigger, needs more pop out of the turns. People always say that you get a good deal, but I say you get what you pay for, and, even thought this won't hurt the wallet as much, they simply aren't worth what is saved. wanna-be Pocket Rockets in my opinion. |
