Rossignol Scratch BC WRS (2007)

This ski performs everywhere from powder to big mountain to park this is one of the best skis out there. It is stable at high speeds, quick in trees, great switch, and butters good. If you can only have one pair this is definitely a good buy.

Tester: 48 yo, 190, 6ft, expert skier. Road Scratch BC 185 cm three days at Blackcombe over US Thanksgiving. Lots of new snow every day. The Scratch is a great ski. Turns easily in tight trees, felt stable doing higher speed powder turns, and was comfortable gs carving on chopped up groomers. I outgrew the Pocket Rocket and this ski is a great step up the big ski ladder. Recommend you mount the bindings a bit back from manufactures recommended location; skis powder better. Great overall ski for 70/30, backside/front side, skiing. (Like Atomic B5, M11 and Volkl AC4 for frontside carving)

Borrowed a pair for 3 days riding in St Anton. Conditions: heavy powder, windslab, slush and ice. This was my first foray onto fat skis, thought it was an excellent ski - performed well all over the mountain. Light weight made them easy to use in tight spaces. Also felt stable tanking through the powder. Probably a bit light weight for when the chopped up stuff is frozen tho. The only thing that I didn't like was the graphics .... looks like they were drawn by a 13 year old with a pack of highlighter pens.

LIGHT , forgiving , predictable , stable , tough , versatile exemplary . Riding powder feels orgasmic. A resillient ski takes abuse like few do . This Ski has taken 55 ski days & shows no signs of weakness. Rossignol got it right. When riding the park it offers good pop & landings are smoothed out with flair, this Scratch triumphs !
