Same as last year? Written by Ski Review Guest on 2007-01-11 22:15:44
Just bought a pair of '06 RX9's and I am hoping that they are as good as the '05 ski. I LOVE my RX9's!! Had to get another pair before they are all gone. They are in route. Any reviews? Anybody? Thanks! ~ Eric |
Update to above Written by Ski Review Guest on 2007-01-18 12:29:29
UPS delivered my '06 RX9's yesterday and being an old school guy, I expected to take them into a ski shop to install the bindings that came with them. A BIG plus was the rail system integrated bindings, which took me all of 15 minutes to install myself. No drilling! Can't wait to take these out and compare them to last year's ski! I am 5' 8" at 160 pounds and will turn 50 this year. I have always enjoyed the stability of a longer ski for high speed carving so I opted for the 180's just like my previous RX9's. I know, old school again, but I had the time of my life on those boards in crud and especially the hardpack and corduroy. I’ll update this as soon as I can get out again! ~ Eric |
Love the RX9 Written by Ski Review Guest on 2007-06-29 18:28:09
I got these on sale for $699 with bindings- an absolute steal. They are heavy but will absolutely rip. I race GS for my school, and these sticks will hold on ice like you wouldn't believe. The rebound energy is phenomenal. |
Excited RX9 Written by Ski Review Guest on 2007-09-08 21:30:05
Just bought a pair of RX9 on the recommendation of one of those brick and morter stores - great experience and I paid only $500. Went on the internet simply to confirm the recommendation and I'm very excited that these skis will make my fast carving more fun. |
mr Alberto Tomba/review Written by Ski Review Guest on 2007-12-04 21:19:55
I Alberto Tomba got the rx 9 and i must say they are everyting i've hoped for. With my skills i can acheve the olimpic moments that i had in the ninetees, and by the way there is only one skier who has the same talent as me my brother Bojan Tomba and he is a very big fan of the rx 9 too, greetings Alberto. |
Tomba Piepke the third Written by Ski Review Guest on 2007-12-04 21:31:35
Alberto, Alberto!! These RX9 are great for the strait line speed. but you will have some problems in the corners. All this drinking and eating since the ninetees did help the weight of Alberto. If you get back in shape and stay of the Piepke you can maybe keep up with me. I will see you on the slopes with my new ELAN's Tomba |
'07 RX9 = Great Ski Written by Ski Review Guest on 2008-01-19 16:07:59
I can't say enough about theses skis - precise, quick edge to edge, great edge hold and a very smooth and predictable rebound. Go get a pair! |
Great all mountain short of powder Written by Ski Review Guest on 2008-03-04 18:02:08
This ski performs well as an all mountain ski. An old school skier will find it forgiving in that it does skidded "J" turns just fine. When commuting along a track or following the kids, it is well mannered with no surprised (trasks a line ok for a modern ski) Open it up though... It is un-flappable at speed. This last weekend, I was able to follow a friend of mine (he on Atomic Metrons) down some steep bowls at serious speed. (June Mountain, CA on a week day is a race carvers dream -chair 7) these skis will roll over chopped up crust at speed and still hold an edge. Roll them up on edge and they pull and hold very well. I'm 155 lbs running on 170cm |
