Great ski Written by Ski Review Guest on 2006-11-09 11:17:38
I love this ski!! It handles well if you just want to race it but when you get tired of that it still stays a good ski. At the beginning the stiff ride might upset people, but as a one gains in confidence this is a great advantage of the ski. It skis like on tracks once you figure out how to set them on an edge properly. I am 6"3 and 200 lbs and I have the 193 version. for a person my size and skiing ability this ski is much better than the over marketed atomic skis. this one is a pure racer!!! |
Big Step Up for Fischer Written by MattMan657 on 2007-01-28 15:05:49
I've used a few Fischer GS models, but I really havent been pleased with them. I felt that they would feel pretty weird when shifting your weight. But these were pretty damn good. I felt much stabler on these than past models. I tried out the Dynastar Course 66 race stocks as well and I thought they were a bit better overall, but Fischer did a good job on these. |
A good ski! Written by Ski Review Guest on 2007-04-14 05:55:37
I bought these earlier this season and found them really hard driven at first. Might have been the conditions, ice and the whole surface was like a hockeyfield. But as I got to ride them more often and got some more experience riding them they turned out good! Really good! The big secret behind riding them is to dare your feet to wander alot away from youre body and to the side. Really have to engage the turn by putting in the hips and bodyweight! And let both your inner and outer leg to work equally. Then the edging and the radius of this ski will be optimized! Now i just have to work on finding a good upper-body posistion to make weight-shifting faster and more effecient! But this ski rules. Atomic GS12WC still looks flashy but don't ski this good! |
