Salomon Scream Limited Written by Ski Review Guest on 2005-01-28 16:34:14
I know that this is not here but I need to know if the Scream Limited is more of a powder ski or more of an ice ski. Also I might get the Metron M:10's which everyone says has great edge hold. I was wondering if this would be better for me than the Scream Limited. I ski on ice all day. So if anyone could tell, me that would be great. |

Scream Limiteds are my favorite all-mountain ski this season. Good in powder, moderate on ice...great on everything in between. If you live on ice though - I would consider a narrower ski such as Salomon StreetRacer 10 |

Took out a pair of Scream Limiteds for a day last week and was so impressed I ended up buying them. Previous skis were Atomic 11-16s which are fantastically fast and stable on the piste but not so great in powder or on the big moguls. The Limiteds aren't quite as stable if you push them hard at speed, but as an all round ski they're a lot of fun. I'm a pretty competent skier who likes to ski all terrains quite aggressively and found the Limiteds more than up to it. Plenty of volume and stability in the powder (and there's a lot of it at the moment!), whippy enough to cope with the moguls, quick in a straight line and plenty grippy enough for carving up the ice and hardpack. If you only want to own one pair of skis to do everything then can't recommend them enough. |
