Manufacturer's Description of the Goode Carbon 95:

"MIXED SNOW, OFF-PISTE AND BACKCOUNTRY SKIING - The CARBON 95 is very lightweight for its size. I designed the ski for great backcountry skiing. It reduces uphill climbing effort by over 50%. The C95 also provides a very stable ride down all off-piste terrain because of its Carbon Fiber construction. It performs amazingly well on packed snow conditions, too."

At 5'11" 220# I typically ski the BanditXX swallow tail 184 level 8/9 Jackson Hole and similar areas. At Snowbasin I had the opportunity to try the Goode95 in a 172 in blizzard conditions and it had much better control than a typical fatboard. The shorter length wasn't as useful on groomers but was very nimble in the trees and deep. I would like to try it the 182 length and compare against the Volkl AC4 and the Atomic Nomad Crimson.

I purchased a pair of Goode 95's in January '08. A Dynafit toe piece pulled out of the ski in March of '08. Goode wanted to remount so we sent them back. When the skis were returned the mounting didn't look right. I e-mailed Goode a picture of the mount and they said send them back again unskied. The same toe pulled out again in January '09. Goode refused to replace the pair but did replace the single ski. I asked them not to mount the binding on the new ski, obvously leery of their shop work. They mounted it anyway. The service has been questionable. I have been without the skis for 3 months of the last two seasons. I am 55, a backcountry skier, not hucking or jumping around. I can't reccomend spending the money on Goode skis.
