Had a chance to demo this ski in Alta and Copper, during the last 3 weeks. Trenedous edge hold, excellent in the powder and crud, and very stable at high speeds. Found it similar to the AC4, but quicker edge to edge. |

Nordica Hot Rod Afterburner Review Written by Ski Review Guest on 2008-01-30 03:51:53
Had a chance to demo these in the midwest prior to several week trips out west (CO, UT). Phenomenal edge hold in typical midwest packed ice, better than anticipated, and not as difficult to get on edge as anticipated - nearly as good as K2 apache X (68 mm waist). In the powder out west was able to handle all conditions well from soft to groomed. Am now a happy owner. |

Got these (last year's) skis at beginning of '07-'08 Season. As a Vail Ski instuctor of 18 years, I would rate these skis as phenominally all-round: great carving, good float in powder. Best in my quiver of 4 skis. After a season of use, they were stolen, and I am desperately trying to replace them. |
Just skied these at Park City Written by Ski Review Guest on 2009-03-21 00:13:28
Tried out four diff demo skis: Afterburners, Volkl AC30s, Fischer Wateas, and K2 Xplorers. LOVED the Afterburners - I mostly ski fast on blues and groomed blacks, the these hold a wicked edge. They were nimble and solid at speed, busted through chunked up snow, and...they're on the way to my house :^D |
