After just over two years since Quiksilver acquired Rossignol, rumours are afoot regarding a possible breakup of the two after disappointing results.
A dismal European winter and patchy US sales has seen things get no better for Rossignol, saddled by €120 million of debt when Quiksilver purchased the group in March 2005. A restructuring followed sale, with ski production cut for the brand which includes Dynastar, Lange and Look.
Despite press releases to the contrary, rumours indicating that Rossignol could be sold for a loss, or the ski division and factories being split up and sold separately continue to circulate.
