Contact 10?
Written by Ski Review Guest on 2007-12-01 15:09:54

Has anyone been on this ski? I currently ski 185 cm Salomon Scream Xtra Hots (116-82-108 w/ 22 m radius) and like them overall, but am looking for something that will allow me make some well carved short radius turns and get through tight bumps. I am an advanced to expert all mountain skier (this year in Les Arcs, france)- 6' 3'' (190 cm), 190 lbs (86 kilos). Liked what I have heard about the older Fischer Rx8, but see more Contact 10 (says 2008) available on ebay. Opinions on ski model and size appreciated...Thanks, Matt

Got em. Love em

I have had the 08 contacts for 3 weeks now. They have been a great all mt. ski.

Love these skis!

Just got these skis about 2 weeks ago and love them. They are paired with the new atomic hawx boot and the performance is unparalleled. Cuts through crud like no other ski I've owned.

Contact 10

I'm old school 6'3'' and 102 Kilos have been on my K2 193cm Black Magic for some years. This year I wanted a new pair, my local shop sold me 172cm Contact 10. I took them to Hauus in Austria for 7 days skiing and they handled perfectly on all runs, blue, red, black and especially off piste. Turns are effortless. Great ski!
Should last me another 10 years.

...and these skis are great, have only been able to compare them with a few other models.
Spent a week in St Anton, one in Vemdalen(sweden) and a few days in Hochzillertal.
They have a magnificent grip on ice and really throws you out with force in the carving turns, great fun in all conditions.

Also been skiing some deep powder with them and they seem to do better than all my friends skis there, although I don't have much powderexperience to compare with.

My weight is ~71kg and I've got the 172cm-skis.

Contact 10 - 165cm

I have had Contact 10 (165 cm, my weight is ~62kg) for the last season. Very flexible skis with a great grip and very tight radius. At much higher speeds however, they are slightly unstable unless you stay on the edges 100% of the time.

Absolutely magnificent when carving on very hard and icy snow.
