A sweet ski

I demoed these on fresh powder on Mt Hood. I'm a level II skiier with good technical ability but a big chicken about steeps. The skis performed so well for me that I'm thinking of turning in my chicken suit. I was able focus on staying balanced on the balls for my feet and these skis just ate up the hill and I went looking for trouble. Couldn't decide if they were maybe a bit soft. The side cut worked great for me. |
which ski should i get?

I really want to get the salomon gun but i dont know if they are good in the east like ice and crud |

I ski on Volkl 5stars on cruiser/firm days, but when we get the powder I pull out the Guns. They do great in the Sierra cement and in the trees, but they have enough sidecut that they do well on groomers when moving around the mountain. While I live in CA, I learned to ski in the ice of the east. While this is a truly great and versatile ski, I don't think I'd like to be carving ice with it |

These skis are great for the pow but ski good on groomers to get around the hill
Im 6 foot 165 lbs and ski on a 181 cm salomon gun
these skis are heaven in pow but on groomers you have to keep your speed down or it is hard to keep an edge but still possible they are defenitely not a ice ski but they will go through crude nice and easy |

Great powder and softer groomer ski

I picked up a used 188cm set of these off season and they have forced me to finally retire my 185cm "Swiss Army Knife" Rossi Bandit xXx. I am 6'3" 215lbs level III skier and ski mostly Whistler Blackcomb. These skis are lighter, hook up and carve better and are excellent in powder. The only place the xXx may have been better are on hard ice, but when those conditions come up I move to my Volkl Supersports. |

I'm a good skier and can do 180's and 360's on small/med jumps i am not interested in pipe or rails. I need twin tips that would be easy on blacks, but good pop.
can't decide between gun,foil/ PE, Silencer/ Chronics? |

Guns are by far my favorite ski for blacks and outback skiing....
Foils work well for jumps and kickers some rails....
I haven't tried the others ski's you mentioned
Over all if you do mostly blacks outback and bowls The foils work well...the guns are mostly REALLY good in deep powder.. |
