Coomba Written by Ski Review Guest on 2008-09-27 08:53:26
Use it everywhere, even on ice and hardpack. As an off piste ski it reigns supreme. Looked at Mantra (my daughter loves them, I didn't get enough float), Pure (second best, nearly bought them). In the end the Coomba is just about the most versatile ski I've ever owned. The craziest thing about it is the speed. It just wants to race everywhere.....

K2 Coomba in Epic Sierra Powder Written by Ski Review Guest on 2009-03-05 21:25:01
We had a major dump in the Sierra this past week. March 3rd & 4th saw a ton of new powder. I had been skiing Atomic Crimson Ti, but demoed the Coomba for the deep stuf...WOW. Simply incredible. Lots of float and so easy to turn. But the big surprise was the bumps where the runs come together. These boards were a lot nimbler than I would have thought...and with a 22m radius they carve too! The Coombas make up the 3rd ski in my quiver. I think they are a bit over the top to be used as the only ski you own, but if you are looking for a board that is incredible in the off-piste and chop and will allow you to enjoy the whole mountain in between the soft shots, this is the ski. |
