Ski-Review has recently returned from previewing the “2011” skis destined to be in shops in time for the 2011-11 ski season. Over the coming days and weeks we’ll be posting some in depth previews of what’s new and exciting and coming next winter.
Unsurprisingly, rockered skis, meaning those without traditional camber, either in parts of the ski or along the entire ski, play a major part in innovation. Rocker, early rise, Amptek - it’s pretty much all the same thing so expect to see it appearing in more and more skis in 2011.
So powerful is the rocker phenomenon that you’ll be able to buy a piste ski with rocker, albeit not in the extreme dimensions found in powder skis where it was first popularised.
