Salomon Overhaul cont. - Scrambler

Written by Dan Morgan, Thursday, 08 April 2004

Another new range which fills another void in Salomons already bursting lineup is the addition of the Scrambler series to flag the All Mountain category.

Scrambler

The Scrambler is intended to spend equal amounts of time on and off the piste, giving the rider a multi-activity tool to experience the best of both worlds.  On paper it is nothing special, your average garden all mountain ski, wide underfoot with a enhanced sidecut to give it bite on the groom.  Add technology like Autocarve, Spacefame and Pilot however, and you know that these skis will likely hold their own in this heavily populated market.

Only 3 different variations in the range (excluding 2 Womens specific skis which will be covered separately), from the Scambler Pilot 8, to the Scrambler 33 aimed at the intermediate market, wit the Scrambler 77 sitting in the middle.

Visually the skis seem very conservative, and would not have looked out of line in the Salomon range 3 or 4 years ago.
