Manufacturer's Description

The temple guardian and the brand’s emblem, this is the instigator of the Black Crows philosophy. The tallest ski of the Black Crows collection, the 2012 version of the Corvus 196 has had its overall structure reinforced, to favour performance without sacrificing comfort of use. Thanks to many technical improvements since it’s creation, our flagship model has continually gained speed and manoeuvrability. This ski designed for vast untouched powder fields offers an enormous versatility of use. High speed large turns, and difficult or smooth snow are where this alpine style ski really shows its potential for strength, stability and carving. With a homogeneous tail, the Corvus 196 shows itself, if prompted, to be very responsive at the end of turns for lively and dynamic skiing. Its long and gradual tip wonderfully facilitates sudden direction changes when faced with rugged terrain at the end of a slope or chopped up powder fields. Ultra-efficient in changing, heavy or wind-affected snows, it has all the qualities of a formidable freeride gun.
