Manufacturer's Description

Light - Authentic - Performance

The Orb Free Bird is a tool designed for ski-touring, a partner in the vertical odyssey which is part of everyday life in Chamonix.  It shares much of the all mountain Orb’s DNA, but weighs in much lighter thanks to Free Bird Gene 1 core.  This new Black Crow’s technology, built around a wood core and the “special wings channel” process, has been developed for those who place as much importance on the climb as the descent, without sacrificing anything in terms of skiability and strength.

A true high mountain ski, 90mm underfoot, an ideal width for this kind of ski, the Orb is the perfect partner for big climbs or a day’s skinning.  Sturdy for high mountain skiing without neglecting the alpine feel on the descent.  Close underfoot precision, incomparable turn initiation, the Orb is a secure ski which always holds it’s edge, even on the steepest descents, and lends itself to the most radical forms of skiing.
