These are great all mountain skis that can rip it up in any conditions. The liquid metal technology that stiffens the skis the harder you push them is quite noticeable. These boards skied softer at slower speeds in the moguls, stiffened in the crud and ice and are extremely stable at high speeds. They are quick and surprisingly faster than I expected for an all mountain ski. Head seems to be drawing on the heritage of its legendary Standard with this model.
You can float easily in the powder on any grade. Concerns about the weight of the ski are overblown in my opinion. These skis are very responsive edge to edge and advanced skiers on up will have no problem getting them around in tight spots. Demo a pair if possible and compare them to the other skis in the Head line, like the 78s. The 78s are a fine ski, but this model offers a whole lot more.
