Manufacturer's Description

Classical music is timeless, complex and revealing. Every singe note is placed with intention and charged with a purpose and a powerful motive. Just when you think you’ve heard it all, another layer is revealed, more complex, more engaging and more compelling than you had ever imagined. With the wave of a wand, the man in the powdered wig transforms a cacophony of parts into a whole, creating a serious force to be reckoned with.

With a truly unique shape and design, The Shaman balances the skier’s weight allowing a forward, powerful powder turn unlike anything you’ve ever experienced. The Shaman provides excellent maneuverability while its 160 mm tip rivals even the biggest powder skis in floatation and stability. And don’t be fooled by the wide girth, the Shaman rips the groomers with its aggressive sidecut and torsional rigidity. This powder ski will leave trenches on the hard-pack. Seriously.

Ski Review: I have had the pleasure of skiing on Shamans twice now. The first time was at Vail in 2010 and skiing the groomers or back bowls was quite simply a dream.  The conditions were great when I was there so one could argue that any ski would be fantastic. Which is why the following year (2011) when I was at Snowbird I skied them again.  This time the conditions were not nearly as good.  The powder was virtually non existent and the ice made the steeps down right challenging.  The Shamans did it again and made my trip a blast.  They are fast, responsive and agile.  While its easy to call these powder skis they are mpst certainly more and remain the only such ski I would ever consider actually buying to use out east where I live.  I guarantee that you wont see yourself coming and going with these and aside from skiing the hell out of the mountain with them you will get a million looks as people ask what they are!
