Manufacturer’s Description of the Liberty Helix:

"A big fat twin for backcountry and big mountain riding. The newly designed Helix features our laminate Hard Core with a balanced flex pattern and an elongated tip and tail for smooth and aggressive powder riding. At 105mm under foot the Helix is still light enough to be quick while ripping through the trees or spinning over a huge gap, but will hold an edge in the no-fall zone. We designed it with minimal camber to float and turn easily in the deep and gave it the fastest base available to keep everyone else in your dust."

I ordered these skis from the UK for uplift in Fernie, B.C in February. Liberty could not have been more helpful, in fact they went out their way to make sure everything went smoothly and that I was happy with the skis. There was 172cm snow the first week I was there, and this ski was amazing! They are light and responsive, yet have plenty backbone and are surprisingly nimble for a relatively fat ski. Would recommend them to anyone - happier in powder but I was surprised how well they handled piste - even hard pack and early morning ice.

Got a steal on these on tramdock.com for $275.  The bamboo makes them light, but still stiff and super responsive.  Skied in about 2 ft. of powder at A-Basin, and they were absolutely amazing.  But the best part is that they are amazing everywhere else as well.  Groomers, chop, ice, trees.  They’re snappy and a lot of fun.  Mounted with a salomon Z12 titanium binding the setup is ridiculously light, yet powerful enough to blast through anything.
