Nordica Olympia Victory (2008)

Very similar feel to the Olympia Speed but wider, so it feels a little more secure but takes a little more effort, especially when you choose short radius arcs on packed or icy conditions. If you ski West and East, the Nordica Olympia Victory is a great choice. If you’re an Eastern skier, and you like shorter radius or quicker turns, the Speed might be a more prudent choice.

Manufacturer’s Description of the Nordica Olympia Victory:

"All-mountain expert women will love the VICTORY when charging the hard packed, but still feel comfortable in the day old crud or the occasional powder day with a wide tip and tail."

Ski-Review’s Verdict:

The Women’s Hot Rod, including the benefits of X balance, the Victory is one hard charging ski for Women who push the limits and ski hard, with good technique and well honed skills. This is one REAL ski for REAL skiers.

A best pick for ladies who stay centered and love speed. With a race-like feel and top notch edge-grip, the Victory is a great club racer or all mountain expert ski. They actually ski lighter than one might think as they feel pretty beefy at first, but get them up to speed and they will dance down the iciest terrain with a vengeance.

A women’s ski with all the guts of the high end Men’s gear, but with the appropriate forward binding position for women. Fast and fun.

I’ve skied these for two years (mostly on Mt. Hood, OR), and have not been disappointed.  If you ski mostly on-piste, or want a hard-charging groomer ski in your quiver, this is it.  These skis will perform off-piste and in the powder, but tend to nose-dive with such a strong camber and narrow waist.  If you are a skilled and aggressive lady looking for a ski that can match your abilities, this is it.

Easy to turn, yet hold an edge well in midwestern hardpack.  Obnoxious looking, though!
