Rossignol Zenith Z82 Oversize Carbon 2011 Written by SkiBum on 10/28 at 08:50 PM
I spent the 2010 down under season on a pair of 170cm Z82’s.
I found them to be very responsive, confidence inspiring and stable on the courdroy and rough crud, they carve beautifully and there is no hint of flap or loss of stability at speed. On the crud and rough they want you to push harder and reward you with a much easier ride than you would normally have.
They also manage the shallow powder well - but they struggle with anything deep (over 10cm) and are thus not a true 50%/50% front/back mountain ski but more 70%/30%. But then show me a ski that is!
I would still get a dedicated off piste 90+ underfoot ski to complement them for the very few times you require to go hardcore in the white room.
