A “not so wide” model, for those that don’t spend most of their time in “deeper and steeper” locales, but just love to get out side and play, enjoy the fresh air and sunny winter days and get a little exercise while sharing their elusive time off with family and friends. The Crystal is no race ski; it’s an inexpensive recreation vehicle, with just the right blend of EASY and new technology to keep the owner happy and skiing on them for years.
Model: Salomon Jewel Crystal (2008) Size(cm) / Radius(m): 154/11.7 Sidecut: 115-70-103 Manufacturer’s Description of the Salomon Jewel Crystal: "All-terrain pleasure with funky, feminine style All-mountain skiing performance is at your fingertips with the Jewel Crystal skis. Extreme stability and control combined with tolerance and forgiveness make this ski perfect for you topped off with the funky feminine design to ski in style. A great choice for women looking for some instant improvement." Ski-Review’s Verdict: This ski was not available for testing but as its shares its design and construction with the other Salomon Ladies skis and also because the price is a bargain, we couldn’t pass it up. A little more ski under foot for balance and stability, and plenty of shape to help make every turn just a little easier. AND they’re backed by a performance guarantee. Very simply…The Salomon Jewel Crystal great value. The right blend of performance and user friendly, for ladies who want to enjoy the day, have fun and cruise around any ski area with minimal effort.

I just took these skis out for the first time this weekend. I loved them… they made everything so easy. Great for an early intermediate!

After being used to ski on men/unisex skis, buying women skis heavily promoted as being better choice for women due to biological differences, was a real mistake. Bindings are placed way too much in front on those skis - like learning to ski from the beginning. Will try to move bindings or sell them and go back to Salomon men skis.
