Ski-Review.com returns from the Fall Line Ski Test in Zermatt
Written by Dan Morgan, Saturday, 24 April 2004Nearly 50 skis tested and plenty of panda eyes all round can only mean one thing - the Fall Line Ski Test in Zermatt has come to a close.
The week was amazing, eye opening and very fruitful but was over in the bat of an eyelid. The stories my partners have relayed to me wish that I personally had taken the opportunity to go aswell, but due to a prior engagement I was unable to make it. Nevertheless we were well represented in Duncan and Ollie - and the clutch of reviews handed to me on their return made it easier to bear - that and the fact my prior engagement consisted of a weeks skiing in Courchevel and La Plagne!
The results were varied, many expectations were adequately represented and a few surprises also became apparent. Want to know who produce a ski and bindings package which retails for £300 (+/- $530 US) and totally blew our (ski)socks off? Check back often.
Disappointments were the lack of Dynastar, and only 3 or so skis from Atomic present.
All in all the week was more than worth it. Spare a thought for me over the next week as I attempt to publish all 50 reviews for your viewing pleasure.
Photos as they are developed.
