Stöckli Skis 2007

Stöckli seem to be becoming much less esoteric of late, and with a market enigma like the original Snake in your catalogue it is easy to see why.

The new Stöckli range for 2006/07 is as comprehensive as it is diverse.  Despite the fact that the original Stöckli Snake with the to-die-for (or should that be ‘remortgage your house for’?) topsheet has bid us farewell in favour of the ‘Snake T’ model introduced last year offering more conventional manufacturing processes, there should still be something to tickle your fancy here.

Stöckli even placed on the podium at this years Winter Olypics in Turin, with Swiss Ambrosi Hoffmann taking Bronze in the Men’s Super-G.

The line-up for 2007 is a fair revamp, in terms of both the topsheet graphics and the range specifics themselves.

NEW SKI

Stöckli Rotor

Stockli Rotor 2007

The "new style" duty for 2007 however, rests squarely with the Stöckli Rotor, billed as a go anywhere, do anything tool for the mountain.  You’ll be as happy in the air, on the groomed and in the powder.  They certainly look the part, and the sidecut looks like these will be a lot of fun.  The Stöckli Rotor makes the "skis I must demo" list this coming season.

FREESTYLE

Stöckli Snake T

Stockli Snake T 2007

The sibling of the original Snake returns in 2007, and if you can get away with using the phrase ‘traditional freestyle graphics’, then that is how you might describe the Stöckli Snake T.  Variable side cuts based on length is the supposition as the 165 is quoted at 105-76-116.

Stöckli Snake BC

Stockli Snake BC 2007

Even when diluted in such good company as the Original Snake and the Snake T, the Backcountry version of the Snake T still proved popular last season.  It returns for 2007 in similar guise and is bound to win a few more hearts.  Length of 177 gives you a radius of 22.3 @ 122-88-111.

Type : Twin tip freestyle ski for park and powder

Surface : Imprinted polyamide, snake structure, 3D-shape

ALL MOUNTAIN

The Laser Cross and the Laser Cross Pro, now seemingly a permanent range fixture, return in 2007 with new dimension and a fresh new design.  Stöckli seem to have had a play with the naming of their ski classifications and so this year, the both the Laser Cross and the Laser Cross Pro fall into the ‘All Mountain’ category.  Who are we to argue?

Dimensions change also—Wider tips, wider waist and a slightly wider tail for both models compared to last season.  Laser Cross Pro keeps the wood core while Laser Cross keeps the ISO/synthetic version, however both boast the inclusion of Stockli Flexamp technology…
