Christmas was five days away. The last ferry home that night was at midnight and we still hadn’t loaded the press onto the trailer for the grueling drive back to Utah. Eric, Steve, and I got the final ski off the press with only thirty minutes left to catch the ferry. Back at Bob’s the three of us stood the skis up against his fireplace and tirelessly gazed at what we had created. It was 2 AM.

The design also runs against the grain of popular powder ski designs that commonly cater toward weaker intermediate skiers with poor technique: soft, sloppy with exaggerated side cut. The Renegade + Design is simple really: Utilize a ski building heritage back when skiers didn’t soley rely on using plastics; built by skiers who create each pair with pride as if every pair were their own.”
