What a ski! There isn’t much it doesn’t like. Prefers off the piste but totally at ease on it as well.

Likes to be skied hard and fast but its quick response and accurate turns ensure that whatever speed or terrain, this ski will give you bags of confidence and most importantly, loads of fun!

Put it high up on the shopping list!

I am an advanced skier, 15 y.o. 6’ 0”, 200 lbs., and I was wondering what length I should go for if I get them, as well as any other recommendations. It’s a toss-up between these, the Rossi B83’s, and the Line Prophet 90’s. We get a lot of snow out here(right now it’s like 570”, and we’re still getting more.) Thanks.

I am a Level III instructor. I love my Mythic Riders. They are excellent in pow and crud and on the steeps, but also have tenacious carving power and stability on the groomers. I’ve even successfully run GS courses with them. High performance versitility.

The Mythics rail turns effortlessly in virtually any kind of snow, and generate some serious pop out of the end of every turn. So much so, that you find yourself happily ripping turn after, and mysteriously finding that you’ve fallen into some sort of trance. You bop along merrily until you actually accelerate to that point where in your head you find yourself saying…“hmmm, you know, I’m going ridiculously fast…”. I just spent my second full day on these skis, both on Vail Mountain, in early season powder, chop, soft bumps, groomers, lower mountain hard pack, and mank. I can honestly say that this ski was phased by none of it. Lean on it and it delivers. It never wavered under foot on anything I encountered. As a matter of fact, I think at one point I swear I heard it scoffing in an almost disrespectful manner, “that’s all you got sonny?...”. But rather than take it personally, I continued to hammer it through whatever I saw, yet it remained so solid at any speed or in any terrain, that at times I was riding big turns through mid sized bumps and it barely noticed them. I was virtually numb to the terrain underfoot as it slithered smoothly over and through anything in its path. They were so stable and burly, yet still nimble and agile, that a few times during the day I actually giggled like a naughty little child that just changed the air. Only a few more days underfoot may be required, especially when more steep terrain is available, to decide whether they’ve earned the spot of every day ski in my quiver.

Please take that down. We find it so offensive as to make looking at the site difficult. That said i think i’ll use some saudi oil to go skiing tomorrow !

I just bought a pair for $280 in an end of season sale and they are wonderful. As a previous reviewer said, I took them down the back bowls in Vail and giggled as I left my friends way behind. Get yourself a bargain now.

If you are a strong skier pick up the Mythic riders…great all around ski, powerful carver if skied up front,  likes broken pow and surprisingly a very good time in small to medium moguls…enjoyed them doing power carves down steep groomers at Steamboat as well keeping them in the ripper line in bumps on Nelsons run and Whiteout…in a 184 length!

Bought Mythic Riders for both my wife and I after being away from skiing for 15 yrs.  Purchased them with the thought that they’d be a great all-purpose ski for the “Pend O’reille Pre-mix” type snow we tend to get in the inland NW.  My wife (intermediate-to-expert skier) is 5’11”, 170#, skis very strong, and is by far the better skier of the two of us.  I lack her technique, but have an abundance of leg strength and end up powering my way thru a mountain.  I love the skis (their energy demands suit me well) but she struggles with them, as they require too much work on a constant basis…  Great ski for the right individual—don’t count on loving them though if you want to spend a lot of time skiing “lazy” or “relaxed”.  Hers (168 cm) are for sale, but mine (184s) probably never will be…

How much for the 168’s

Found them stable in the crud, but heavy for me (64kg skier) and lacking any response to forward weight…no grip on hard snow, cannot be turned easily with weight forward.

Have skied 30 years, usually in Rockies and Southern NZ. Been looking for a replacement for Salomon 10 hots with a bit more width underfoot for those deep powder days/heliskiing ...these have it but at price to pay for lack of response to turn initiation…. You can’t have it all
