I ski the East so I wanted a 70/30 piste to powder ski and this is it. The ski is great in the moguls and trees. It is really quick edge to edge, and stable at decent speeds. At high speeds the ski chatters a bit, but I use it mostly for moguls and out of bounds skiing, where the ski really shines.

I am very happy with the ski and I highly recommend it for people who like skiing in tight spaces.

I bought this ski in march 2008. I ski in the east- killington, Stowe, sugarbush, mt snow with an occasional west coast trip. I really like these skis as they are light under foot, and easy to navigate through choppy conditions. I would like to compare them to the dynastar contact. People have told me that they are easier to turn and cuts better. Is this true? I’m thinking of demo-ing them to compare. Any thoughts…

I’m in the UK and just demo’d these after riding Head Mojo’s for 2 seasons. Pretty quick edge to edge and turn with a lot less effort. They’re even a little bit twin tip for those moments of freestyle madness.

Stunning on piste utterly useless in powder.  Lots of us used this last weekend and likened it’s off piste turning to an oil tanker.  Just too stiff.  This makes the edge hold on any piste great but with a name like Apache and Crossfire we expected more all mountain ability.  Compared to Atomic Nomad, Rossignol Bandit B3 and Head Monster this is NOT an all mountain ski.  Why the twin tip?

First off, I have say these skis are wondering for skiing through the trees and carving up pistes and even through crud up to about 6 inches.  They turn on a dime with great edges and are very quick.  That being said, these skis are not all mountain skis.  I just took these skis through 1 meter of fresh powder in Switzerland and have to say they performed very poorly.  No float and near impossible to turn, these are not to be taken off-piste.

Had these K2’s for 3 seasons. Great on piste, ice and moguls. Hard work in powder and unforgiving as heavy and stiff. Can be used off piste but are not really designed for all day powder and you need to keep the turns going or it gets nasty quickly. Still, I love them, as they are predictable and chew up everything on piste.

I have had these for three seasons and agree with the previous postings…this ski is awesome on the groomers, tough in the powder, and down right awful in the heavy stuff.  It is like driving a dump truck on a race course.  However, give me ice, crud and typical east coast hard pack, and they are simply awesome!
