This ski is incredible. Ill make it clear at the start that I am by no means an advanced skiier. I took these skis, having borrowed the from a friend, to Val D’isere last season having never been down a black run and never eally gone very fast. It didnt take long for that to change. The flames are the easiest ski i have ever used, they turn so easily its unreal and have incredible grip. Even with my poor technique i was coping as well as my ski instructor friend on steep icy blacks. For some reason these skis just fill you with confidence.

The length of these skis suprised me also, the pair i was using werre about as tall as i am (179) which would usually be cause for concern on what is in theory an advanced ski. I had no trouble whatsoever in making the flames turn. Honestly whatever snow i came upon they coped with. The only exception being icy moguls in les arc in very flat light but im sure that if i could ski moguls it would help.

This is also a VERY fast ski. MY instructor friend has Volkl Allstars which would by all mean be held as a strong fast ?600 ski. In a straight line i think i past him a few times. At speed they feel completely solid and still hold a nice turn, very little chatter and they didnt feel as though they would ever get a wiggle on.

As far as terrain goes im not the person to say however i had them in knee deep powder and they worked for me (im terrible in powder). I had them in chopped up sluch at the end of the day wit pople everwhere and providing you dont mind taking off a few tims they were fantastic, just plowed through it. On groomed runs it was like skiing on velvet and when theres just a coating on top ive never skied a ski thats felt better.

Basically these skis revolutionised my skiing. if your an advanced to expert skiier they may not be fo you as they could simply be too easy and you might want a bit more of a challenge but for those of you who want a ski for maybe a 4th week away, starting to hit the blacks and starting to hit some serious speed (60mph) this could well be the ski for you. I cant recommend it enough.

Stunning start to finish
