I have skied 45 years in a row and bought some B1’s after trying a few skis last winter. They straddle the fence between a traditional ski and a more single purpose carving ski. Great on ice, easy turn initiation, great in the bumps. If you want to carve they will, but if you want to ski it in a more spontaneous manner they will accomodate. You can find great deals on these too. Paid $183 on Ebay last spring. Pick up a pair if you like to have a few different types of skis. I am 5’10 180 lbs on 174’s.

The B1 is not an “all mountain” ski.  It’s a bit narrow for that title.  None-the-less, I really like this ski.  I spend most of my time in the groomed “blue”.  They are great at carving turns.  Very stable ride.  They are a bit heavier than my other skis.  As was previously noted, with prices so low, they are a great bargain.  $300 for a set of new 160’s including new Axial 120 bindings.

skiid B1’S for two seasons. Last year in New hampshire over 20 days on 200 inches of snow.  very versitile.  Good in trees, great through Bumps, decent on powder/ deeper snow.  Easy turn initiation.  I love the ski.  as I’m advancing I’m finding that at high speeds the ski forces you to an edge.. You must be on edge and cannot flatten out at high speeds.  This hinders how fast you can go.  Great intermediate ski Prices are great.  weight 165 height 5’8”  ski length 168cm
