Salomon Instinct Rush 2008 Ski Review

While most new skis are boasting about fatter and wider, there are still skiers that need quicker response and want more “Sports car” and less “SUV”. The Salomon Instinct Rush is the sports car and getting on and off an edge is not just quick; it’s sudden.

Manufacturer’s Description of the Salomon Instinct Rush:

"Powerful ski for performance curves. For women with character, the Instinct Rush will more than meet your highest expectations. Performance, precision and excellent energy transmission all in a light ski designed to match your own carving talent. Not to mention the feminine yet punchy graphic design."

Ski-Review’s Verdict:

Lots of sidecut, confidence inspiring edge grip and control, light and agile feel and they look like they’re made to carve up anything they encounter. The good news is all of the above. Not too stiff for aggressive short turns, but strong enough to conquer the crud.

Women who don’t ski powder or deeper snow will love this ski. You may find yourself thinking about doing some fun or league racing as the Rush is well named. A front-side best pick for ladies they know how to use their edges.

The Rush does not like to be skidded, it’s a real “front side carver” so plan on rounding out those arcs and accept the idea that you’re a better skier than you were on your old skis. Performance improvements are made easy. Lots of FUN!
