Ski Review: The QST 106 feels light underfoot, while still being reasonably stiff and the now bog standard early rise with camber underfoot combo means turning is a breeze. You lean back metaphorically speaking on the QST and they won’t throw you over, but they’ll also reward strong and aggressive skiing well in softer snow conditions, including on piste although they’ll chatter a little when you crank the speed up. In powder they really show off. Light and nimble, they’ll get you slashing in no time and they float better than you’d imagine looking at the geometry. The QST 106 is just another ski that gives you a little bit of extra oompf in the morning and is that little bit forgiving in the afternoons. Recommended. I was tempted to go short, but my advice is don’t - the 174 look like a good length but in a ski like this with the early rise (rocker) you get an shorter effective edge and that extra length is useful in the deep snow.
