Ski Review: I am a stockliaholic. I own 5 pair from all-mountain to race skis. I own 2 pair of the Rotor 72’s; 167 and 177 length. This ski is magic. It is a slalom ski underfoot with a 72mm waist, wood core, torsion box and titanal, but the tip and tail are soft and flexible. The 167 are as quick as any slalom ski, but forgiving. The 177 are my new favorites; quick, stable, powerful, but forgiving. I skied them last weekend on Sugarloaf hardpack with loose granular on the trail sides. A very predictable ski and as much fun as you can have with your clothes on! If you are an eastern skier and want a hardpack, packed powder ski; this is it. For the powder, spring and crud days; look at the Stormrider VXL or Dynastar Sultan 94’s both of which I own and love.
