Absolute performance without the hard work of a true race ski. It will hold an edge on anything. Carves like a knife and likes to go fast, but easy enough to ski all day. Has nice rebound out of turns and the more you push it the better it works. The best I’ve found for groomers here in the east, but does real well in crud too!  You will love it!!

I can’t compare to any other skis out there currently simply because I haven’t demoed any of them.  However, compare to my old Atomic 9.14 this is a lot more stable at high speeds.  One thing for considerations… Volkls are heavy.  So carrying your skis maybe an issue especially if you need to haul your kids skis as well.  But it rides smooth and holds an edge on any icy slopes.  It’s a great skis for eastcoast.

Absolutely brilliant skis, they are very heavy to carry; but once strapped in they are amazing.  Superior edge grip and control to any other ski I have tried.  They really will cling to the most icy of pistes.  Very very stable at high speed and very manouverable too.  They will without doubt help improve your skiing.

Skiing on 168cm 10 foot TigerSharks, probably 2009s or 2010s.  Don’t notice much difference from 2004 SuperSport Six-Stars, except the wider shovel does a little better in any amount of fresh snow.  Excellent on hardpack. Why go with anything else when in the East (PA, NH, Maine) you’re going to be skiing hardpack 80% of the time?  Excellent ski, very responsive, very quick turns, tracks through just about anything.
