Nothing new in terms of race stock, except the tweaks and changes you would expect year on year.
Dynastar’s Giant Slalom tool which received so much acclaim and won so many fans last season, rolls out of the factory with similar top sheets to that of the current season (the Dynastar Speed Course Comp not a ski requiring a facelift anytime soon). Dimensions of 104-66-91 mean nothing has changed drastically to the geometry.
Dynastar’s 2007 offering, at-a-glance.
Dynastar Contact 11
Length/Radius: 158/13 165/14 172/15 178/16 184/17
Sidecut: 122-72-102
As reported in our Dynastar preview a few months ago - the Contact series was to undergo a major, not to mention high profiled revamp for the coming 2007 season. Billed as the luxury sports car of groomed run skiing, the Contact Series promised power and comfort underfoot. Dynastar/Look Integrated binding system (Fluid/PX) as standard.
Dynastar D’Stinct
Length/Radius: 154/12 160/13 166/14 172/15 176/16
Sidecut: 120-74-104
"Click and Go" is being billed as the answer to the "What ski should I choose?" question, in the form of the Dynastar D’Stinct. Filling the Recreational category, the D’Stinct, in the words of Dynastar is a ski "that inspires safety, is versatile, with a well thought out design, exceptional skiability and a price that won’t blow you out".
Dynastar Legend XXL
Length: 194
Sidecut: 132-109-122
Dynastar Legend 8000
Length/Radius: 158/16 165/18 172/19 178/20 184/21

The Dynastar Legend seems to have encapsulated a large portion of the market in just a few short seasons since launch. It is no big thing to notice good proportion of cable car passengers hauling the Legend Pro to the very top of the mountain and access to the best chutes, steeps and couloirs. Lower siblings are all over mountain too, with no shortage of the Legend being apparent in hire supplies.
In 2007, Dynastar raises the bar with the Legend Pro XXL. Wider than the Legend Pro ‘standard’, the Legend Pro XXL comes in a length of 194 only, and sports 132-109-122 dimensions.
The hot ‘all-new’ product for 2007 comes in binding form however. Intended for the Dynastar Alti range in addition to the Legend series of skis for those who like to go up the mountain as much as they do down, Dynastar’s Mountain bindings come in 3 models for different types of terrain (unsurprisingly inclusive of one for women only) and are sold as a pack with relevant skis.
Dynastar Say: "Resistant and wide for the model corresponding to the Legend skis with the Legend Early Tram binding, less weight for the bindings that go with the Alti and Exclusive models with the Legend and Legend Exclusive bindings.
A guarantee of comfort when climbing and excellent skiability when descending."
Dynastar Big Trouble
Length/Radius: 176/20 186/23

Dynastar Trouble Maker
Length/Radius: 155/16 165/18 175/21 182/22
Sidecut: 112-78-102
The "Trouble" series again looks set to reign supreme under the Freestyle banner for Dynastar in 2007. The Trouble Maker looks largely unchanged (although we see a return to the green on top - a good thing), while it’s bigger brother Big Trouble reappears to help bring the gap between freestyle in the park and freestyle in the back country.
