ISPO 2009: Salomon Shogun 2010

Written by Dan Morgan, Wednesday, 04 February 2009

New skis are always exciting, but the vain person in me has already given in to Salomon’s 2010 Shogun skis.

Despite the fact that the "First" claim for using bamboo in a ski might be objected to, the Shogun IS a bamboo cored freeride ski, with armour reinforced edges and a layer of volcanic basalt stone for the "special stiffness" characteristics.

Visually, they pack a punch with strongly Asian-influenced topsheets that are ever so slightly transparent.  Keen to give the Shogun a try.
