Liberty Ski Press Release
“Liberty Skis is not your typical ski company. Even though their slogan is “Under the Radar,” the word is out in just their second year of operation. Dedicated to creating the best progressive freeride skis available, Liberty is actively involved in rider feedback to create the ultimate product. No longer will traditional European designs dominate the freestyle scene. Rather, Liberty combines their patented designs with state-of-the-art graphics to produce skis like no other.
Based out of Beaver Creek, Colorado, Liberty is located in the heart of America’s ski country. The Liberty Pro Team, which includes Ryan Spinks, David Bird, Charlie Macarthur, Taylor Seaton, Adam Zapeda , and Stephanie Myers, can often be found on local mountains and in the pipes. The hottest young talent from both the US and Canada comprise the Roots Team, Liberty’s underage-sponsored skiers.
The 2004 line of skis includes eight skis, highlighted by the limited edition Pro-Model Reaper 186, the Stealth 180 and Chopper 170. For the women, Liberty has designed a Big Mountain Twin Tip called the Highlife 184. There is also an all mountain ski available.
Skis are made of a laminate wood core to create a light weight ski
with high response. Technology highlights include Liberty Hard
Core, an additional titanal metal layer to provide extra torsional
rigidity; a progressive radius sidecut to create more snow contact;
thick Rockwell edges and vertical sidewalls for extra strength and
grip; and elongated and elevated tips to create extra float in powder
while maintaining the performance of a shorter ski.
