Ski Review Brands

Look Eye Up Rossignol

Written by Dan Morgan, Tuesday, 25 March 2008

Cycle group Look International have expressed an interest in buying Rossignol, the French winter sports brand.

Look’s head Dominique Bergin was quoted refering to Rossignol’s "very nice brand" and linked the benefits of Look’s carbon technology.

Any acquisition would potentially also bring the Look ski brand back home.  Look’s alpine binding division was sold to Rossignol in 1994 after a successful supply partnership.

Quiksilver bought Rossignol for $560 million (USD) but has since appointed JP Morgan to find potential suitors.
