Rossignol Experience 2012
Written by Dan Morgan, Tuesday, 01 March 2011Brand new for 2012, the Rossignol Experience range bridges the gap between the freeride S range and Rossignol’s Zenith all mountain range. This years Alias started to introduce rocker to piste performance Zenith shape, but the Experience goes the whole hog for a true. Think a “Bandit” or a Dynastar Legend but with early rise tips and tail and regular camber underfoot.
Rossignol Experience 98, Rossignol Experience 88 and Rossignol Experience 83
Available in 98, 88, 83 & 78mm underfoot, the Rossignol Experience 98 & 83 size up at 139-98-128 and 132-83-120 respectively.
Rossignol Experience 98 and Rossignol Experience 83
Both have Rossignol’s Autoturn (a.k.a early rise tip), wood + titanal sandwich construction, and promise great edge grip, performance in the powder and everything in between. A cascade tip keeps the weight down by delivering progressively fewer material layers towards the front end of the ski.

Bought the E88 in late 2011, looking for an all-mountain ski that could literally handle the whole mountain. The BEST ski purchase I ever made! Truly a one-ski quiver that chews up any condition from groomers, crud, bumps, powder, glades, and crunch days. It does all this while remaining stable and fast as I exceeded 60mph on several occasions riding these skis! It actually dares you to press it hard and doesn’t like to slow down.
Note: while very capable in powder, you will still need to work this ski as it’s 88 width is not as adept in deep snow as wider skis are.
Noteworthy: while at a demo day at a resort last season, testers who rode this ski ended up purchasing the product!
