Late one night, I went back to the office where Eric remained busy crafting a new narrower shape out of the same camber forms as the Renegade. I arrived just in time, music blaring with smoke in the air, with Eric fitting the edges shortly after mixing the pot of resin. I did as he asked, with each swipe of resin and with every layer of fiberglass we pieced together the ski he’d been dreaming of for weeks.
