We’ve taken everything we learned developing Kilian Jornet’s World Championship Ultimate 65s, and applied it to the Atomic Ultimate 78. In line with Kilian’s move from racer to extreme alpinist, we’ve also built the 78 more for endurance touring. This model has an Ultralite Woodcore and weighs only 950g per ski for a competitive edge on the climb. Carbon Laminates create stability and power transfer to the snow. And you’ve got tips for fixing custom-made Atomic Rocker Skins in a flash. But as the name suggests, we’ve also given it a slightly wider waist width. So as well as being awesomely fast and light, it’s a mountaineering ski with awesome downhill performance, too.
