Manufacturer's Description

Fear not, here’s the iconic fluorescent yellow mono block known as the orb freebird. You’ll have seen it from afar, tracing beautiful lines on the ascent, fluidly skiing the descent or maybe passing the night leaning against the walls of a mountain hut. Conceived for ski-touring, the orb freebird is the perfect companion for a vertical odyssey. An authentic mountain ski with the ideal width for this type of use (90mm), it is the accomplice for all adventures, whether for a day or a long distance trip. With incredible edge hold, this is a ski you can trust for even the most radical and steepest slopes. With a long bow profile – flat tail & double layer tip – for a width of 90mm, this is easy to handle ski is a gauge for accessibility. Having the same the shape as the all mountain model, it is notably lighter in comparison to its twin due to the Freebird Gene 1 core, a combination of paulownia wood at the extremities reinforced with poplar at the binding level. Highly energetic, the orb freebird has a true freeride spirit with a width of between 123 and 125mm, and the dynamic of good edge control due to its classic camber. Aimed at those who place as much importance on the ascent as on the descent, this robust ski is for high mountain use.
